Tony Harris, former president of BT's business services unit, will join NTL as managing director of its business division on 10 January. He replaces Tom Benny, who joined NTL's broadcast division earlier this year.

Eoin McGettigan has been named chief executive of the Co-operative Group's food retail arm. He takes up the post in February after 15 years at grocery retailer and wholesaler Musgrave UK. McGettigan replaces Malcolm Hepworth, who quit in September.

Kathy Parker, global brand director for Lever Faberge's Dove deodorant, is leaving the company after 14 years to join Diageo Ireland as head of marketing for Guinness and ale brand Smithwick's. Kim Manley, chief marketing officer at Allied Domecq's wine and spirits division, has resigned with immediate effect, following a probe into financial irregularities at the drinks giant. Investigators are understood to be looking into the relationship between the marketing department and its suppliers.

Sarah Baldock has been hired by luxury spa company ESPA as its first marketing director. Baldock joins from Tesco, where she managed the supermarket's baby and toddler clubs, and will oversee ESPA's expansion around the world.
