Dating website Match.com has brought in Edelman for a corporate programme.

The site, which has a turnover of £170m and more than 15 million members, wants to establish itself as a thought leader and create business partnerships.

'The online dating industry has enormous potential for growth in the UK thanks to its rapidly increasing single population and their grasp of the internet's power to successfully bring people together,' said Match.com head of relationships Katie Sheppard.

'As the number one brand in the UK, it's vital that Match.com plays a leading role in the debate about the industry's future,' she added.

Match.com is the UK's most popular dating site, according to the Nielsen NetRatings calculation of unique visitors in January 2008.
