Prime minister Gordon Brown has hired the campaigns and comms director from consumer group Which? to be his special advisor on strategic communications.
Nick Stace will start at Number 10 on Monday as the latest in a recent spate of high profile comms appointments, including WPP stalwart David Muir, CEO of the marcoms giant's 'Channels' division.
Stace was invited to join the Downing Street team by Brown after nearly five years with Which?.
Prior to that, he worked in public affairs at Citigate.
