Shine lands eBay consumer brief
eBay: wants to ‘engage users’
Auction site eBay has ended an exhaustive three-month search for a new consumer agency with the appointment of Shine.
Shine’s priority will be to broaden the scope of eBay’s PR activity. Richard Kan-areck, eBay head of PR and community, said: ‘The challenge is to create deeper brand engagement among our community of users.’
eBay is currently enjoying success as the UK’s most visited e-commerce site and accounts for 11 per cent of all the time people in the UK spend on the internet.
Shine replaces three-year incumbent Seventy Seven PR, which did not repitch.
