Talk PR will handle media for February’s Elle Style Awards, which generate more than £4.3m in PR value, and the launch of an expanded beauty section in spring. It will also promote a series of exclusive projects with designers and new initiatives, which will be revealed next year.
Elle’s editor in chief Lorraine Candy said this was the first agency the title had hired for a year-long strategic account. Previously Halpern and the Outside Organisation have been used to promote the awards.
‘The work we do during London Fashion Week, our special designer covers and our successful subscriptions drive will continue in 2010, while the new projects will cement our reputation for being first with new ideas,' she said.
‘We have had such huge pick-up on our project this year, that we just can’t manage the PR ourselves any more,' she added.
Talk PR won the work following a competitive pitch.
Elle has won six awards since its relaunch nearly two years ago. Candy recently won the BSME editor of the year gong.
