Newgate acquires Mullin Consultancy to boost Scottish lobbying

Newgate Communications has bought a Scottish lobbying and PR firm as it seeks to bolster its public affairs expertise north of the border.
Mullin Consultancy, which launched in February 2012, has started trading under the name of Newgate.
The agency is headed by John Mullin, a former director of Citigate Dewe Rogerson, who will become MD of Newgate’s Edinburgh office.
Mullin said: ‘This development creates the opportunity for much quicker business growth and to build on the business strategy begun by Mullin Consultancy.’
Simon Nayyar, MD of Newgate’s public affairs businesses, said: ‘John is a very accomplished comms performer.’
