Cdiscount, Europe's largest online retailer and part of the Casino Group, has hired Eulogy to launch Cdiscount.co.uk in the UK. The website is already hugely successful in France. The on- and offline consumer campaign in the UK will be assisted by sister agency Onlinefire, combining traditional PR and social media.

Verve has been appointed to manage the Which? Survey Panel following a four-way competitive pitch. The brief will see the online brand community specialist seeking to develop a fully integrated web 2.0 community that builds on the 30,000 users already engaging with the site. Lightspeed research was the previous incumbent.

Diffusion has announced the launch of specialist mobile division Diffusion Mobile. The department will be managed by David Ross-Tomlin, who was formerly an account manager at Nelson Bostock. Ross-Tomlin is charged with building the division's team. Diffusion Mobile has just taken on its first client, telecoms analyst house Juniper Research.

Oscaruk.co.uk, a consumer site offering savings deals to the over-fifties, has been launched this week. The site was developed by PR professionals Peter Simpson, formerly of First Direct, Jason Madeley of Hatch Communications and Glenn Patterson of Intermarketing. It was claimed the site could save the UK's over-fifties £26bn a year.
