Alec Mattinson

Acting deputy editor

Alec is PRWeek's Deputy editor and city & corporate reporter.

He joined the magazine in September 2008 after four years at Thomson Reuters, where he primarily worked on monthly finance mag International Securitisation Report.

Alec also worked for two years as a journalist on various internal comms publications for Summersault Communications, following a stint on independent finance title Capital Markets Magazine.

He is charged with improving, even further, PRWeek's coverage of the increasingly important corporate PR sector.

Alec has an MA in journalism and a degree in politics from the University of Sheffield.

He is a long-suffering Leeds United fan, but tries not to get too depressed about it. He remains a keen sportsman when not injured, which now happens on an increasingly regular basis.
