BBC poaches Reuters chief
The BBC's director of comms Ed Williams has raided his old company Reuters for a new head of internal comms.
Andrea Gwilliam joins the BBC on 1 September, as the organisation implements the sweeping changes recommended by its director general last year.
Gwilliam is currently head of internal comms at Reuters. She has previously worked at Deutsche Bank and British Airways. She replaces Anne-Marie Bell who left last year.
At the BBC, Gwilliam will be responsible for setting the internal comms strategy and activity and events across the corporation.
Last October, BBC bosses announced controversial plans to cut staff posts by 2,500.
