HPV vaccine: Consolidated Communications land brief

HPV vaccine: Consolidated Communications land brief

Matt Cartmell 26-Aug-08

Consolidated Communications has been appointed by the Department of Health to support the promotion of the HPV cervical cancer vaccine to 17 to 18 year old girls.

The £100,000 campaign will include media relations, direct to consumer activity and endorsement tailored towards older teenage girls, parents and stakeholders.

This activity follows Consolidated's existing HPV promotion focusing on 12 to 13 year old girls and their mums.

Dawn Primarolo, the Public Health Minister, announced in July that 17 to 18 year old girls would be offered the vaccine this autumn as part of a national catch-up programme.

This means an extra 300,000 girls will be protected.
