Bailey leaves Skype without a PR chief
Clare O'Connor 27-Jun-08
Skype's global head of PR has left after two years, leaving the internet phone company scrambling to fill her role.
Imogen Bailey left earlier this month, leaving recent eBay recruit and Skype corporate comms director Jen Caukin to act as interim PR chief.
Bailey moved to Skype in 2006 from Edelman, where she was director of tech at the international agency.
She oversaw the launch of the 3 Skypephone and, more recently, the start of global subscriptions.
Skype said in a statement that the company, seen as a pioneer in the voice-over-internet-protocol (VoIP) market, is considering ‘how best to shape the global PR and corporate comms team’.
