PSA lands political brief for retail firm

David Singleton 01-May-08

The company behind Argos and Homebase has handed a major public affairs account to PSA Communications.

The London-based agency has been brought in by Home Retail Group to monitor political issues affecting the retail industry in the UK and EU. The agency will also provide political counsel.

Home Retail Group claims to be the UK's leading home and general merchandise retailer, with sales of more than £5.8 billion in the previous financial year.

Agency MD Phillip Snape said: 'It is one of the most exciting brands in UK retail and we look forward to supporting it in building an understanding of the political climate and its impact on the group.'
