Danny Rogers 24-Apr-08
High-flying football club Chelsea has drafted in a top press man from the diplomatic service as its new head of media.
Steve Atkins, 38, is currently deputy press secretary at the British Embassy in Washington, but will relocate to London to support Chelsea's comms and public affairs director Simon Greenberg.
'Steve brings a wealth of experience from Washington in dealing with complicated issues and high-profile personalities,' said Greenberg.
Current media chief Simon Taylor will move to the newly created role of head of CSR.
