APCO recruits Rome director
Raffa: lobbied for Coca-Cola
ROME: APCO has brought in a former Coca-Cola lobbyist as managing director of its Rome office.
Nicola Raffa started this week, taking over from Ivo Ilic Gabara who is promoted to senior vice-president, international media relations.
Raffa left The Coca-Cola Corporation in July, after six years as public affairs director of the Italian and Mediterranean divisions, based in Italy. He also served on Coca-Cola Italy’s board of directors for six years.
Before joining Coca-Cola, Raffa held a number of high-level positions in Italy. They include director of communications and government affairs at SmithKline Beecham.
