Former GSK man in City PR switch

Former GlaxoSmithKline UK corporate media relations V-P Mark Sutton has left City PR shop Corfin Communications.

Sutton, who joined Corfin as director last year (PRWeek, 1 October 2004), has joined financial comms specialist Abchurch Communications as director.

Sutton joined Corfin at the same time as former Transport for London comms chief Locksley Ryan, who subsequently quit to set up RLF Partnership.

Although he worked at Corfin two days a week and was not on the board, Sutton has joined Abchurch full-time to work for the firm's life science clients and corporate and issues management business.

Prior to Corfin, Sutton spent 13 years at GSK, leaving ahead of a rejig of the drug firm's PR last year.
