Guy Robinson will support new Environment Secretary Owen Paterson after working at Lynton Crosby’s influential market research firm since last September.

Robinson was previously head of political research at the Countryside Alliance.

Meanwhile, Amy Fisher, who was former Environment Secretary Caroline Spelman’s special adviser, has been drafted in by Chris Grayling, the new Justice Secretary.

Fisher was formerly comms director at Policy Exchange and worked at Google, where she was responsible for policy communications across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The post-reshuffle appointments follow news of Culture Secretary Maria Miller appointing Prince’s Foundation head of comms Joanna Hindley as her special adviser.
