IRELAND: French-based computer service firm Cap Gemini has picked
Simpson Financial and Technology PR to handle its account in Ireland
following a three-way competitive pitch.
Cap Gemini offers consulting, systems management, software development
and other computing services to large companies such as Volvo, Coopers
and Lybrand and British Steel.
Ronnie Simpson, agency managing director, said Cap Gemini’s main target
audiences in Ireland are the top 100 companies and large public sector
’We want to target not just IT managers, but aim for the board room as
well,’ he said.
The agency will focus on the business and specialist technology media to
push Cap Gemini’s services, including the company’s expertise in
advising on preparing for European Monetary Union.
Cap Gemini employs around 30,000 people globally and had revenues of
pounds 2.1 billion in 1997.
