Harrods PR is restructured

In the wake of the resignation last week of Michael Cole, spokesman for Mohamed Al Fayed, director of public affairs at Harrods and a member of the company’s directors board, the London store has promoted director of press and advertising Andrew Wiles, previously a member of the less senior management board to the directors board.
In the wake of the resignation last week of Michael Cole, spokesman
for Mohamed Al Fayed, director of public affairs at Harrods and a member
of the company’s directors board, the London store has promoted director
of press and advertising Andrew Wiles, previously a member of the less
senior management board to the directors board.
In a further round of promotions, corporate press officer Peter
Willasey, and press and PR manager Gill Christophers, have moved up to
the management board. These three will take over Cole’s role for the
time being. ’There will be a degree of restructuring to free up people
to take on the public affairs function,’ Willasey said.
Harrods will still use Lowe Bell Communications, which has worked for
Harrods on an occasional public affairs consultancy basis since the
company considered flotation over a year ago.
