DIARY: Peter and George give food for thought
PR Week UK, Thursday, 25 April 1996, 12:00am,
Such was the quality of entries to our caption competition, which we launched to accompany this less than fetching shot of Peter York, left, and George Pitcher, that I may well give up this sordid journalism malarkey to launch a touring PR vaudeville troupe.
Such was the quality of entries to our caption competition, which we
launched to accompany this less than fetching shot of Peter York, left,
and George Pitcher, that I may well give up this sordid journalism
malarkey to launch a touring PR vaudeville troupe.
After poring over the entries that came, if not in a flood then in a
vintage trickle, I can reveal that the winner is Macclesfield freelance
PR Gillian Johnston, who brought us the caption: ‘Peter and George have
been staunch supporters of the British beef industry throughout the BSE
crisis’.
A bottle of the frothy stuff is now on its way to Cheshire.
