PR Week UK, Friday, 05 March 2010, 12:00am,
1. PaverSmith has won a rather attractive brief to promote the 12 regional heats for the Miss England contest across the North West. The agency will be persuading contestants to enter, setting up local press interviews and managing Twitter feeds. 'We've had plenty of volunteers to work on this account,' quipped MD Dougal Paver.
2. Who says London Fashion Week is elitist? Look magazine held its own high street catwalk show at the event last week. It launched a marketing drive with model Erin O'Connor to make the fashion event less elitist. Brands including Reiss, New Look and H&M showcased their collections.
3. Tiger Beer celebrated the Chinese Year of the Tiger by launching a series of art works across the UK in mid-February, including a mural in Glasgow city centre. Exposure has been managing the campaign, looking after the brand site, Facebook work and media relations work. Grrr.
