Daily Express' Gabriel Milland joins Britain Israel Communications & Research Centre

He replaces Ben Overlander who has joined Regester Larkin as a consultant.

Before becoming a member of the Express' political team, Milland was foreign editor at the paper and covered events such as the invasion of Iraq and the 2004 US presidential election.

Milland said: ‘I can't think of another job outside journalism that I would have taken. Israel has never enjoyed a time when it has not faced huge dangers. But the next few years look like they could be very turbulent indeed.

‘The challenge is to make sure that Israel's voice is heard. Before BICOM was set up, all too often there was no one putting Israel's case in a professional and effective way.'
