David Barker departs BHF for Breakthrough Breast Cancer

LONDON - David Barker has joined Breakthrough Breast Cancer as its director of communications from his role at the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
At BHF Barker headed up the charity's marketing and communications activity and was responsible for the charity moving into digital and online channels.
Barker has joined Breakthrough Breast Cancer on a one year maternity cover contract after Fiona Hazel departed at the end of 2009. He will head up a team of 18 and will be responsible for marketing activity surrounding the recent re-brand of the charity.
Breakthrough Breast Cancer is dedicated to the prevention, treatment and ultimate eradication of breast cancer.
Prior to Barker's role at BHF he was head of media relations at The Royal National Institute for Deaf People.
