Indian watch giant Titan has appointed London-based Consolidated
Communications to advise on its European campaign and raise the brand’s
profile in the UK.
The account, which Consolidated won without a formal pitch, was
previously held by Burson-Marsteller.
Consolidated will advise on Titan’s European activity which will involve
the appointment of a PR agency in France and Italy. Titan has opted for
local agencies in each country rather than one agency with a
pan-European network to handle its account.
Titan is part of Tata Industries, one of India’s largest companies with
a multi-billion pound turnover.
Titan has been launching across European countries since rival premium
watch brands such as Rolex and Citizen started to take market share in
India. ’Titan aims to succeed in Europe to give it wider credentials to
use back on the Indian market,’ said Tom Wells, a director of
Consolidated Communications.
Consolidated’s brief is to develop and manage a trade and consumer
programme in the UK, targeting a young, upmarket audience.
