Ottakar’s, the book chain which floated in April, has appointed Powerhouse PR to handle its consumer PR. Powerhouse is the publishing and media division of the MacLaurin Group. The agency is the first to be appointed by Ottakar’s which has 49 stores across the UK. James Heneage, managing director of Ottakar’s, said: ’Powerhouse’s task will be to generate national awareness for our brand and its proposition.’
