The Sci-Fi Channel is looking for its first public relations agency
to handle consumer PR in the UK as well as supporting the cable and
satellite channel’s activities in Sweden.
David Fowler, head of publicity and PR, said the channel particularly
needed an agency with a knowledge of the cultural differences and
sensitivities of the Swedish market.
’We need to find someone who knows how to maximise coverage,’ said
Fowler.
’We are committed to rolling out across Europe and what we need is
somebody who can grow with us.’
The channel, which launched in the UK in 1995, is operated by USA
Networks which is owned by Universal. Programming includes Dark Skies,
Inside Space and the Six Million Dollar Man.
