The National Grid Company has appointed six agencies to handle its
ongoing pounds 150,000 regional communications programme.
North East agency Grant Sterling was the only incumbent to have its
contract renewed.
New appointees are Hunter Public Relations for the Eastern region of the
country, Barkers PR for the Midlands, Greenwood Tighe in the North West,
JBP Associates in the South West and Field Communications for the South
East.
The agencies that lost out were Systems Publicity, Pendragon
Consultants, Peter Bowen Publicity and Stansfield Crane.
The shake-up was prompted by the arrival of Sally Lingard as National
Grid head of public relations in February - two months after the company
was floated on the London Stock Exchange.
