Angela Green, chairman of Lowe Bell subsidiary Green Moon, has quit the agency following a lengthy sabbatical.
Angela Green, chairman of Lowe Bell subsidiary Green Moon, has quit the
agency following a lengthy sabbatical.
Green started the consumer specialist with Tricia Moon in 1982 and
helped to build it into a pounds 1.75 million a year business before
selling out to Lowe Bell parent Chime Communications in 1994 for pounds
1.1 million. She leaves officially at the end of the year.
Lowe Bell chairman Sir Tim Bell said Green had been on sabbatical for
some months ‘dealing with a private and personal issue’ and had decided
not to return. He added: ‘We are very sorry that she is leaving but
completely understand her reasons.’
To help fill the gap Green Moon has hired the head of cosmetic giant
L’Oreal’s public relations team. Anne Klahn. She takes up the post of
joint deputy managing director, alongside Suzanne Woolf, in January.
Klahn has been director of L’Oreal’s PR since 1992. She joined the
company as PR manager in 1985 to set up the PR department, following
nine years at Attenborough Associates. She first met Green Moon managing
director Tricia Moon as a marketing and PR trainee at the Gala Cosmetic
Group.
At L’Oreal, Klahn managed the launches of Studio Line, L’Oreal
Plenitude, L’Oreal Perfection, Legendary Harley-Davidson, Synergie and
Nutralia. She was also involved in a PR campaign for the company’s
Laboratoires Garnier division.
She described her 11 years at L’Oreal as ‘exciting and stimulating’.
However, she said joining Green Moon would give her ‘a new stimulus’.
Jean-Jacques Lebel, managing director of L’Oreal UK, commented: ‘We are
very sad to see Anne leave L’Oreal. She has done an excellent job and
has been instrumental in developing and managing numerous projects, both
on a brand and a corporate level.’
