The Observer has appointed Sheryl Garratt to edit its Life
magazine.
Garratt was editor of the Face magazine until 1995, and since then has
written on a freelance basis for the Guardian, the Sunday Times and Red
magazine. She joins in early December, replacing Justine Picardie.
