The Dairy Industry Federation (DIF), the industry body which represents milk processors such as Unigate and Northern Dairies, has appointed Financial Dynamics Corporate to work on all aspects of its public relations.
The Dairy Industry Federation (DIF), the industry body which
represents milk processors such as Unigate and Northern Dairies, has
appointed Financial Dynamics Corporate to work on all aspects of its
public relations.
The move comes as the turbulent milk industry faces yet more controversy
following the purchase of a small Welsh dairy by Milk Marque, the cartel
which replaced the Milk Marketing Board in 1994 and represents the
interests of farmers.
The DIF is opposed to this move and has lodged a complaint with the
Office of Fair Trading which argues that Milk Marque should be prevented
from processing milk as well as controlling its production.
Financial Dynamics pitched for the business against Paragon
Communications and Grayling. David Lloyd, managing director of Financial
Dynamics Corporate, said: ’Part of the brief is to highlight the
importance of the dairy industry to the British economy.’
