Sources involved in the pitch told PRWeek Edelman had edged in ahead of the incumbent Porter Novelli.

One source said 'internal politics' at HP had delayed the outcome. 'The client wavered,' added the source.

The PSG pitch is believed to be a factor in HP's decision to review global PR duties for its Imaging and Printing Group (IPG). Edelman secured the EMEA IPG business one year ago from Porter Novelli, which continues to hold the US account.
