INTERNATIONAL: Hunzinger lands Metallbank float

FRANKFURT: Metallbank has hired Hunzinger Information to promote

its flotation on the Frankfurt stock exchange.

Hunzinger won the account without a competitive pitch last week. Fees

are around pounds 180,000 for the contract period which expires at the

end of February.

The agency will handle the company’s media relations over the period,

initially targeting coverage in the financial newspapers and then

putting the focus on analysts in a bid to raise the value of the bank’s

stock.

Frankfurt-based Metallbank specialises in finance capital for small and

medium-sized companies.

Explaining Hunzinger’s brief, Metallbank managing director Lothar Mark

said: ’We want to expand our business, get a bigger name in the

community and let other people know about our success.’

The bank reported profits of pounds 98 million for the year to the end

of September 1998.
