Arsenal FC hires US sports marketer Fox as CMO

LONDON - Arsenal FC has today named veteran US sports marketer Tom Fox as its new chief marketing officer.
Fox, who will be tasked with building the clubs support base domestically and overseas, will report directly to Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis.
Fox's CV includes stints with the NBA (National Basketball Assocation), Nike and Gatorade.
While at the NBA he worked as director of sponsor programmes for NBA properties before taking up a post in Hong Kong as VP and managing director of NBA Asia.
He had previously worked for Gatorade in the 1980s, where he worked in sports marketing from 1988. Fox later returned to Gatorade in 1999 as senior VP, sports marketing.
He remained at Gatorade until 2007 to consult for Wasserman Media Group.
