Public Affairs: ABI ushers in Hanover
PR Week UK, Friday, 17 July 2009, 12:00am,
The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has appointed Hanover to handle public affairs.
Charles Lewington's agency has been handed a year-long retainer as the insurance industry body prepares for a possible change in government. Hanover does not replace anyone on the brief, which is believed to be worth close to six figures.
The work will be led by acc-ount director Laura Chisholm. She said the ABI had called in public affairs support because it wanted to be 'more effective in how it talks to the Tories'.
The move to hire Hanover follows the appointment last year of Huw Evans as director of corporate affairs at the ABI.
