TLG has signed up a special adviser to Northern Ireland secretary Shaun Woodward as a consultant. Sebastian Dance will make the switch later this month.

Insight Public Affairs has launched The Next Generation - Parliamentary Candidates to Watch. The book contains profiles of 21 Conservative candidates, seven Labour candidates and two Liberal Democrats. The Madano Partnership has also published The Class of 2010, which profiles 242 of the candidates 'most likely to be elected' at the next general election.

Barclays' former head of public affairs Wendy Deller has left the bank after almost four years to re-establish her own public policy and CSR consultancy, Policy Profile. Deller joined Barclays in 2005. She was most recently director of public policy and sustainability in Barclays' global retail and commercial banking arm. She has now left to revive Policy Profile, which she ran for two years before joining the bank.

Spreckley Partners MD Richard Merrin has been selected by the Conservative Party to be parliamentary candidate for Hornsey and Wood Green. The seat is held by Liberal Democrat frontbencher Lynne Featherstone.

Ebay has appointed Stefan Krawczyk as director of government relations, based in Brussels.
