Greenlines Healthcare Communications has recruited Shandwick Welbeck healthcare director Nigel Hayward as managing director.
Greenlines Healthcare Communications has recruited Shandwick
Welbeck healthcare director Nigel Hayward as managing director.
Hayward takes over from Greenlines founder Charlene Bargeron, who
becomes executive chairman, having previously combined the chairman and
managing director roles.
Before joining Shandwick earlier this year as associate director in the
healthcare division, Hayward worked for Ketchum and the Shire Hall
Group, and as a marketing manger at Janssen-Cilag, a pharmaceutical
company belonging to the Johnson and Johnson group.
Greenlines was founded ten years ago. Its clients include Astra Zeneca,
Boots The Chemists and Hoechst Marion Roussel. It employs 15 staff and
has a turnover of pounds 1.2 million, which would have placed it about
15th in PR Week’s healthcare PR agency league table published last
month.
’It (appointing a managing director) is the first phase of a development
programme that will take us into Europe,’ said Bargeron.
Greenlines is building a network of affiliates in Europe. Last month the
agency won a pounds 200,000 pan-European contract to promote
Yamanouchi’s men’s health products and raise awareness of benign
prostate hypertrophy, a urinary condition which is thought to affect two
million men in the UK.
The agency is in the process of negotiating another pan-European
contract with an undisclosed client.
