MediaUK.com releases league table of magazines represented on Twitter

MediaUK.com has published a list of the top magazines represented on Twitter, with PRWeek coming one place outside the top ten.

NME magazine topped the list, based on the number of Twitter followers, with 21,684 followers, closely followed by New Scientist at number two with 19,885.
 
Marketing ranked as the highest B2B magazine at number six with 10,818 followers, closely followed at number 11 by PRWeek with 8,209 followers.
 
Eight of the top ten were entertainment magazines – with Dazed and Confused, Total Film and Creative Review hitting the third, fourth and fifth slots respectively.
 
The list includes a total of 127 magazines seeing Discover Poland magazine ranked in 127th position with only nine followers.
 
MediaUK.com is an online directory for the British media industry that incorporates news, jobs and discussion forums.
 
Six PRWeek journalists were named in the top-ten editorial names in terms of followers – departing NME editor Conor McNicholas, who is leaving to edit BBC’s Top Gear magazine, was in first place.
