Technology: The Week in Technology - New appointments at Start Creative

Start Creative has announced a raft of new hires. Roger Thelwell joins the digital comms agency from ad shop Nitro as its new head of operations, while former freelancer Alison Bonny arrives as head of PR and marketing.
iPilot, Europe's first shopping centre flight simulator, has named Threepipe as its PR agency ahead of launch. The simulator launches next month at Bluewater Shopping Centre. It offers users the experience of flying a Boeing 737-800 jet.
Preloved.co.uk, the second-hand community site, has selected 10 Yetis as its first consumer PR agency. The site claims more than 1.2 million unique visitors per month. The agency will highlight the benefits of buying and selling second-hand.
Chameleon PR has launched a quarterly report that aims to chart tech coverage trends in the media. Its first instalment points to cloud computing and web 2.0 as hot topics over the past three months.
eSpares.co.uk, the UK's largest independent online spare parts site, has shifted its PR account to Bondy Consulting. The business was previously held by Staniforth. The site offers more than 350,000 parts and accessories for appliances.
Johnson King did not appear in the technology top 40 due to a late entry (PRWeek, 29 May). The agency is now in its rightful position of number 12 in the table online at prweek.com/uk, with a tech fee income of £1,750,000 and a growth in fee income since 2007 of three per cent.
Wildfire PR also failed to appear in the top 40 table, owing to an incomplete entry procedure. The agency should have appeared as a new entry at number 21 with a tech fee income of £718,154.
