- What is it good for?

Steeped in historic glamour, this elegant venue once formed part of Lillie Langtry's home and was often frequented by Oscar Wilde. The restaurant is calm and relaxing, plus the staff are attentive yet discreet, which makes it the perfect spot for client meetings.

- Signature dishes

A great starter is the ballotine of Scottish salmon, served with goats' cheese mousse, while signature mains include the slow roasted fillet of Welsh lamb with minted goats' cheese, or the olive oil poached tuna with Scottish mussel fricassee.

- Who's the boss?

Langtry's is Cadogan Hotel's in-house restaurant, owned by Franklyn Hotels and Resorts. Head chef Oliver Lesnik creates great British food with a contemporary twist.

- Any tips?

If you are in the mood for something indulgent, dine on a Saturday or Sunday for a limitless champagne lunch for only £35.

- What's the damage?

Langtry's has excellent value set menus, with a two-course lunch for £15.95 and a three-course lunch for £19.95.
