Dogs Trust, the UK's largest dog welfare charity, has hired its first public affairs manager. Rachel Cunningham joins from Breast Cancer Care.
Centrica has appointed former special adviser Justin Johnson as public affairs manager, reporting to director of public affairs and European policy Barry Neville. Johnson was previously adviser to Environment, Food and Rural Affairs secretary of state Hilary Benn.
Ofgem has named Rachel Hatfield as head of government affairs. She was European affairs manager at British Airways until December 2008.
Visit Britain has appointed Anne Harvey as head of policy. She was previously parliamentary business manager for the Scottish National Party’s Westminster Group.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has confirmed its comms and public affairs line-up. The CQC, launched on 1 April, was formed from the Healthcare Commission (HC), the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and the Mental Health Act Commission. Robert Khan, previously head of parliamentary affairs at the CSCI, is public affairs manager, leading a team of three staff who are yet to be recruited. Roger Davidson, former head of external affairs at the HC, is the new head of media.
