Flack: (SAVING) on expenses - Crazy Bear, Beaconsfield, Bucks
PR Week UK, Friday, 03 April 2009, 12:00am,
Reviewer: Kirsty Barr, director, mi-comms PR
- What is it good for?
Crazy Bear is a great place to take people you want to impress without breaking the bank. It has an amazing bar and lounge with elaborate decor and a relaxed atmosphere. Much of the food originates from the Crazy Bear Farm in Oxfordshire where they rear pork, lamb, free-range hens, duck and quail.
- Signature dish
There is so much to choose from. We devoured the home-reared Gloucestershire old spot pork chop with apple, and enjoyed every mouthful of the steak and mushroom pie.
- Who's the boss?
The executive head chef is Frank Bordoni. Jason Hunt owns the Crazy Bear Group, which has restaurants in Stadhampton, Oxfordshire, London's West End and Beaconsfield. Crazy Bear is also launching a members club in April in Covent Garden.
- Tips please?
Crazy Bear is an ideal venue for 'away days' as it has meeting rooms and accommodation. It is only 30 minutes from London by train.
- What's the damage?
From the weekday set menu, a two-course lunch costs £10, or three courses for £14.
