- Doodle.com, the online scheduling tool, has brought in Birmingham-based Hatch PR as its UK agency. Doodle currently has 2.5 million unique users. In Switzerland, where the tool was founded, ten per cent of the population use the service at least once a month. Hatch will aim to increase Doodle's UK user base.
- Puzzuka, the world's largest online puzzle, has signed up Trimedia to run a consumer and digital PR campaign. CoverGlobe Solutions, the company behind Puzzuka, hopes to attract players to the game and increase advertising from major brands. Part of the funds raised through advertising will go to educational-related programmes in Africa.
- Hot Cherry, the online PR agency, has appointed Channel 4's factual new media commissioner Adam Gee as non-executive director.
- Talend, an open-source data integration company, has chosen Spreckley Partners as its retained UK agency. Talend includes Yahoo, Virgin Mobile and Sony among its 400 customers worldwide. The brief is to promote Talend's brand and products in the UK.
- Beam PR MD Jane Leah has been named Technology Woman of the Year by The Pressies 2009, a new event organised by UK technology journalists and PR professionals. Other categories included 'Gadget of the Year', which was won by the iPhone 3G, and the 'Lifetime Achievement Award', which went to freelance journalist Barry Fox.
- Beaulieu, a family attraction in the New Forest, has taken on Hampshire-based agency The Remarkable Group for an online PR campaign. Beaulieu is home to the National Motor Museum and Palace House and Gardens.
