Sydney: ‘Tipping point’ for PR
The news comes 16 months after the agency was acquired by Australia’s Photon Group (PRWeek, 19 October 2007).
Splendid Communications set up an Australian office in 2007 and other consumer-focused firms are planning growth in the region.
The Outside Organisation is pondering an Australian operation, and Freud Communications founder Matthew Freud is understood to have been in the country recently.
Frank believes there is a gap in the Australian market for its more creative, experiential and ideas-based PR. Graham Goodkind, chairman and founder, said: ‘We believe PR as a discipline there is nearing a tipping point in consumer marketing terms.’
