Barrow let go by Ketchum
Gemma O'Reilly, PR Week UK, Friday, 23 January 2009, 12:00am,
PR industry stalwart Patrick Barrow has been made redundant from his role as MD of corporate affairs at Ketchum.
He has left the agency and does not have a job to go to. He told PRWeek: 'The current economics don't allow for huge growth in the corporate affairs department.' Ketchum deputy CEO Avril Lee said the agency was responding to 'the volatility of the global economy'.
Barrow joined Ketchum in June 2007 from his position as MD of industry body the PRCA. Before joining the PRCA, Barrow held senior corporate affairs roles at T-Mobile, Thomas Cook Travel and the Telegraph Media Group.
