Moneysupermarket.com appoints easyJet's David Osborne marketing director

LONDON - Moneysupermarket.com, the price-comparison website, has appointed David Osborne as its marketing director. He will take up the role in March 2009.
Currently regional general manager UK at easyJet, Osbourne has previously been marketing director at the airline, as well as head of advertising, e-business and promotions at ING Direct, head of advertising and e-business of Orange and head of brand marketing at Amazon.co.uk. He has also held various senior marketing roles in drinks companies, including Diageo.
Meanwhile, Simon Nixon, founder and chief executive of Moneysupermarket.com is to be succeeded by Peter Plumb, currently managing director of moneysupermarket.com's financial-services business. Nixon will become executive deputy chairman.
Plumb is the former UK managing director of Dunnhumby, the customer insights business that runs Tesco Clubcard.
Moneysupermaket.com has said that following its flotation it needed to make changes in order to grow the company.
