Brand manager of the week

What would you be if you weren't a brand manager?

I'd write fiction from a room with a view overlooking the Alps.

How would you define marketing?

In a nutshell, it is a process that identifies, anticipates and satisfies customer requirements profitably.

If you could get tickets to any event, what would it be?

Season tickets for the ballet.

Do you speak any other languages?

Yes, Australian.

What makes you angry?

People who can talk the talk but can't walk the walk.

Which advertising campaign do you wish you had commissioned?

Being a Mini Cooper driver, I would have to opt for the 'ban the boredom' series of television ads. They are very insightful and completely on- brand.

What is your greatest ambition?

To strike the perfect balance between work and life.

What advice would you give to someone starting their marketing career today?

Don't let your subjective opinions colour your judgement; learn to consider every decision objectively.

What attracted you to your current job?

The right position, the right place and the right people.
