Alexander is now in charge of comms for women's football and international teams,as well as the FA's National Game Strategy and referee recruitment and retention.

He reports to head of media and corporate comms Andrin Cooper.

He joins from KTB PR, where he has been a freelance account director for the past nine months.

Prior to KTB, he was a comms manager for Fit For Sport, where he launched the 'Fitter Schools UK Challenge' with ex-Arsenal footballer Ian Wright.

He has also worked at Edelman and Golin Harris.

Alexander replaces Alex Stone who is now at FIFA.
