Alliance Boots turns to Finsbury

Financial agency Gavin Anderson has lost its Alliance Boots account to rival City firm Finsbury.
The retainer switched hands without a competitive pitch process due to Finsbury's existing relationship with the firm.
The agency worked with the Boots Group in 2005 prior to its merger with Alliance UniChem.
Gavin Anderson had a long standing relationship with Alliance UniChem, which continued when the group was acquired by AB Acquisitions.
Gavin Anderson's worldwide chairman and CEO Richard Constant has agreed to continue advising Alliance Boots on financial communications and media relations for a period of time to enable a smooth the transition to Finsbury.
