Some 20 Hotwire consultants from the agency's British, German, Spanish and Italian offices will be working on the retained consumer and corporate account.

Blom gathers geographical information by using a fleet of 33 planes and four helicopters, as well as laser equipment. With over 1000 employees across 23 countries in Europe, it is the largest European provider of mapping information but it is virtually unknown to the general public.

Blom is looking to expand into the commercial satellite navigation systems market and has hired Hotwire to increase awareness among consumers.

The agency will target consumer publications, national media, and navigation trade titles.
