EMI appoints EMEA comms head

EMI has brought in Amy Sloane-Pinel to serve as its director of corporate communications, EMEA.
Sloane-Pinel will lead the music publisher's corporate communications function in the region of continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Based in Paris, she will report to Amanda Conroy, EMI Group's senior vice president of corporate communications.
She will also work closely with David Kassler, president of EMI Music EMEA, and Nathalie Collin, chairman of EMI Music France.
Sloane-Pinel joins EMI from TV network Eurosport, where she led corporate communication policy and strategy across its operations in Europe and Asia, including marketing campaigns for the Beijing Olympic Games, the World Rugby Cup and its introduction of high definition television.
Before that she was a partner in Paris-based strategic media consultancy SpringDev where she worked for clients including Reed Elsevier, Vivendi, Corbis, and EMI Music in France.
