From our readers - McCain is 'not linked with BFFF campaign'
PR Week UK, Thursday, 11 September 2008, 6:00am,
Last week, PRWeek reported on the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF)'s campaign to encourage the public to eat more frozen food (News, 5 September).
As the UK's leading frozen food manufacturer, we support the view that UK consumers need to know more about the benefits of frozen food and that some inaccurate views, often regarding quality and nutritional content, need to be challenged.
However, the BFFF does not represent the whole industry. While we are very proud of our partnership with UK Athletics, details of which were included alongside your article, we would like to make clear that we are not linked with the BFFF campaign itself.
Bill Bartlett, corporate affairs director, McCain Foods (GB).
